Southwest of Southwest | Professionally framed limited edition print from American artist and Sam Houston State University Professor Stanley E. Lea (1930-2017). Original etching and aquatint, signed (12/15) and dated 1978 in pencil by the artist. There is wear to the frame and mat, but the print appears to be in very good vintage condition. There is some cloudiness behind the glass that would benefit from cleaning and re-matting.
Lea was a renowned Texas printmaker celebrated for pioneering experimental viscosity printing and textured collagraph/callagraph embossing techniques.
